Indigent FCT Patients laud Buhari, Health Ministry as Natl’ Hospital continues Free Surgeries

National Hospital, Abuja – The Better Health for All programme of the Federal Ministry of Health in continuation of its ongoing interventions conducted 18 Free Surgeries to poor and vulnerable indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory at the National Hospital in Abuja on Saturday. Speaking after the conduct of the surgical operations, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, said the exercise was part of an intervention of the Rapid Result Initiative (RRI) of the Federal Ministry of Health as a quick win assistance to the less privileged indigents at designated Federal Health facilities across the country.  Dr. Momoh noted that the programme, which was launched in September, 2016 by the Hon Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole was part of the Federal Government’s efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage.
